Friendly, quick service. We had a tire with a fast leak on the highway while driving from RI to FL, a Google search found Carter's, we called just just before closing and they very nicely told us to come in. The tire had a screw in it.They fixed it quickly and we were back on our way for a very fair price. Do thankful for them.
While my family was driving on I-95 from Myrtle Beach SC back to our home in Connecticut on 8-1-16 ,we experienced a transmission issue with our van. After sitting on the side of the highway for almost an hour , we were able to limp it to the NAPA auto parts store located at Stoney Creek VA. I knew we needed a special transmission oil and we did not see it on the shelf. The NAPA employee called a friend at Carters garage to see if he had any. He did have some of the oil but he was not at his business at the time so he made a special trip to his garage for us to purchase it. There are not to may places that would go out of their way to help us like this. Thanks

Blew a tire on 95. Came out and replaced it was back on the road in under a hour. Can beat that... well not blowing a tire i guess could beat that lol.
AAA dispatched these crooks to haul my truck to Chesapeake when my transmission went out, the driver picked my truck up from my family's property and drove out of the way to their shop where the counter guy tried to tell me the trip was more then the hundred miles that AAA covered me for. When I told him it was only 89 miles to where I was going he insisted I was wrong and I owed him money. After going back and forth he said, " my driver will tell me the mileage when he gets to the destination but if it's over 100 miles your truck won't be dropped till the bill is paid". The driver then proceeds to take the long route back to the main road and stops at a gas station where he got food the jumped back on the main road where he then said every 10 mins," your giving me a tip for this long drive right, I usually get big tips for long hauls". Mind you I make this drive often and it is 89 miles from point a to point b, so I originally had no problem giving something till I was bothered about it every few miles. Carter's towing tried to over charge me, went out of the way and didn't subtract the mileage but it still came in less then 100 miles, and is bugging me for a tip. I wouldn't recommend you to anyone. Maybe by me sharing my experience some of you can check mileage for yourselves and not be ripped off by this company.
